PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera, with which a main subject is properly exposed whichever focus detection region is selected from among a plurality of focus detection regions. SOLUTION: Relative differences in defocusing amounts ddfL, ddfC, and ddfR are calculated from a defocusing amount seldf of the focus detection region selected from among three focus detection regions and the defocusing amount dfL, dfC, and dfR of each focus detection region. Based on the relative differences in the defocusing amounts, the degrees of contribution wtL, wtC and wtR of luminance values BvL, BvC, and BvR of each focus detection region are found by using TableWt. The calculation of the optimum luminance value BvAF=(wtL×BvL+wtC×BvC+wtR×BvR)/(wtL+wtC+wtR) is conducted by using these luminance values and the degrees of contribution. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
