PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device capable of attaching an electric motor and a control unit at both of remote and close positions, when providing the electric motor and the control unit on a steering mechanism. SOLUTION: The electric power steering device comprises the electric motor adding steering assisting force to a steering system, and the control unit having a controller controlling an energizing state to the electric motor according to steering torque of the steering system, in an attaching member of the steering mechanism. The electric motor is equipped with a flange portion which can be attached to the attaching member of the steering mechanism, and a bass bar terminal. On the other hand, the control unit is equipped with a terminal stand having an output terminal connected to the bass bar terminal, and detachably provided with a uniting member electrically uniting the bass bar terminal and the output terminal between the bass bar terminal and the output terminal.
