PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a totally enclosed type motor for driving vehicle, wherein the outside air will not be let through the motor, the cooling capability is enhanced and its size and weight can be reduced. SOLUTION: The totally enclosed type motor for driving vehicle is constructed as follows. A stator core is provided on the inner circumferential surface of a stator frame; a stator member with a built-in bearing is attached to both ends of the stator frame; both ends of a rotor shaft are supported by these bearings. A rotor core is provided at the center of the rotor shaft, and a heat sink is provided at the ends of the rotor core; an annular minute gap is formed between the outer circumferential surfaces of the heat sinks and the inner circumferential surfaces of the stator members; annular outside air inlet spaces are formed between the heat sinks and the stator-side bearing supporting member. The outside air inlet spaces are made to communicate with the exterior space, through multiple communicating ports formed in the stator members, and the heat sinks and the outside air inlet spaces are formed on either or both the driving side and the anti-driving side.
