PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a closer mechanism of a non-rail sliding door without impairing an appearance while minimizing cost with a simple structure. SOLUTION: This non-rail sliding door suspends the sliding door 3 in a door roller arranged in a support gatepost 1 by arranging the sliding door 3 between the support gatepost 12 and a door stop gatepost 2. A rail member 6 having a guide rail 8 is arranged in the traveling direction of the sliding door 3 in an upper part or a lower part on the pulling-in side of the sliding door 3. A door end part of the sliding door 3 is provided with a travel guide part 14 having a guide roller 12 for nipping the guide rail 8 from above and below. A reel type closer 17 having a wire reel is installed in the travel guide part 14 or its vicinity, and an end part of a wire 20 is fixed to a support gatepost vicinal position of the support gatepost 1 or the rail member 6.
