<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a time synchronization information or synchronizing clock generating supply method and apparatus which can establish synchronization between terminals connected to an asynchronous network and utilize various applications with high quality including, e.g. a broadcast system using the IP protocol. <P>SOLUTION: A synchronization time/clock generating supply apparatus is arranged just before a terminal and establishes time or clock synchronization with an NTP server in place of the terminal. In this case, the synchronization time/clock generating supply apparatus acquires a physical address and a logical address of the terminal from a frame transmitted from the terminal and references the NTP server by using the addresses. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
