<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable equipment designed to use a battery to use a power storage element other than batteries in place of the battery. <P>SOLUTION: A capacitor 153 stores power to be supplied to a control unit 111. A DC-DC converter 152 controls the level of a second voltage arising from power discharged from the capacitor 153 so that a first voltage arising from a battery unit for the connected control unit 111 agrees with the second voltage. Thus, equipment designed to use a battery can use a power storage element other than batteries in place of a battery.
