PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an enzyme electrode capable of enhancing the rate of charge transfer from a redox center of an enzyme, and providing a high catalytic current.

SOLUTION: The enzyme electrode capable of improving the catalytic current can be provided by increasing the rate of charge transfer from the enzyme by using an enzyme/metal particle complex in which part of a metal fine particle is incorporated into the enzyme.
