PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorption heat pump which can be operated as a boiler in addition to operation as an absorption heat pump. SOLUTION: A cooling water line Lw is branched off to a first line Lw1 passing through an absorber 3 after passing through a condenser 4, and a second line Lw2 passing through a regenerator 1. A first opening and closing means V1 is interposed in a line L3 sending refrigerant steam generated by the regenerator 1 to the condenser 4. A second opening and closing means V2 is interposed between absorption solution lines L1, L2 communicating the regenerator with the absorber 3 to circulate an absorption solution.
