PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a product design system for easily and effectively selecting a design parameter realizing all of a plurality of performance capabilities with consideration given to interaction between the different performance capabilities. SOLUTION: In this product design system for designing a predetermined product while involving computation based on the Taguchi method, a plurality of design parameters relating to a plurality of performance capabilities of the product are set, and a plurality of level values are set to the respective design parameters set by a parameter setting means. The design parameters and the level values are allocated to a predetermined orthogonal table, and according to the orthogonal table, performance capabilities values to the respective level values are calculated for the respective design parameters on the respective performance capabilities. The degrees of the interaction between a plurality of performance capabilities about the respective design parameters are calculated, and display specifications on a factor effect chart, in which the vertical axis shows performance values to the respective level values for each design parameter, are changed so that the calculated degrees of the interaction are reflected.
