ASSEMBLING METHOD FOR OPTICAL FIBER CONNECTOR, FLANGE MEMBER, FERRULE ASSEMBLY, AND OPTICAL FIBER CONNECTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means which is suitable for assembly in a place where an optical fiber connector is used and with which sufficient adhesive strength can be obtained. SOLUTION: An assembling method for the optical fiber connector includes a step of fixing an optical fiber by using an adhesive for a fixation hole 3a of a flange member 3 of a ferrule assembly 1 comprising a capillary 2 and the flange member 3, and a curing agent layer 51 is formed on an internal wall surface of the capillary 2 before the capillary 2 and flange member 3 are coupled together. A curing agent can be distributed in a large area on the internal wall surface of the fixation hole 3a and sufficient adhesive strength can be obtained. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
