摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a panel alignment system for aligning a pair of electrode substrates of a liquid crystal display panel, the system being capable of improving the alignment accuracy, cell gap accuracy, production yield or the like. SOLUTION: The panel alignment system is equipped with an upper substrate holding means 12 for holding an upper substrate and a lower substrate holding means 20 for holding a lower substrate, when a pair of substrates constituted of an upper substrate 17 and a lower substrate 18 are superposed and fixed by curing a sealing agent 19, applied between the substrates; a positioning means for laying the held upper substrate and the lower substrate to a predetermined position; a pressurizing means 7 to 9 for pushing the upper substrate and the lower substrate to each other, disposed at a predetermined position under a predetermined pressurizing force; a UV-irradiating means 27 for irradiating the sealing agent with UV rays to make it cured, while the substrates are pressurized by the pressurizing means; and an irradiation region control means 20e for controlling the irradiation region with UV rays to be irradiated by the UV irradiating means.
