PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article having a fixing means having high elasticity and strength, giving a user comfortable wearing feeling and having superior operability. SOLUTION: A sanitary napkin 1 is provided with the fixing means 5 having a fixing part in one face and composed of an elastic material, the elastic material is formed of a composite non-woven fabric 51, the composite non-woven fabric 51 is formed by superposing a filament non-woven fabric 52 extensible in the direction crossing with the fiber orientation direction and an elastic non-woven fabric 53 having elasticity in one direction in such a manner as according the extensible direction of the filament non-woven fabric 52 with the direction of elasticity of the elastic non-woven fabric 53, the filament non-woven fabric 52 and the elastic non-woven fabric 53 are partially joinedly formed, and the direction of extending the fixing means 5 in use is accorded with the direction of the elasticity of the composite non-woven fabric 51.
