PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To deform a balance spring in such a state as to be hardly entangled irrespective of vertical shaking of a reaping pre-treating part and to smoothly apply lifting operation force in a combine harvester equipped with a balance mechanism for applying the lifting operation force to the reaping pre-treating part supported freely vertically and shakably on a self-propelled machine body with the balance spring. SOLUTION: The balance spring 21 is supported on a spring pedestal 26 of the self-propelled machine body. When the reaping pre-treating part 10 is changed into a lowering operation state, a spring contact part 22 provided in a pre-treating frame 11 contacts the balance spring 21 to deform the balance spring 21 by a load of the reaping pre-treating part 10. The balance spring 21 applies the lifting operation force to the reaping pre-treating part 10. A contact action surface 23 of the spring contact part 22 contacting the balance spring 21 is a contact action surface of a protruding circular arc. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
