<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system and its concentration control method capable of precisely controlling concentration of a fuel solution, even if an oxidant deficiency treatment is executed. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell system comprises a fuel cell that generates electric energy through electrochemical reaction, a voltage sensor for detecting an open circuit voltage, and a current detecting circuit for detecting the current from the fuel cell. The open circuit voltage before an oxidant deficiency treatment is stored in a memory. The concentration of a methanol solution is controlled to be higher than a target concentration based on the integrated value of currents from the fuel cell that are detected after the oxidant deficiency treatment. If the open circuit voltage detected after the oxidant deficiency treatment indicates a higher concentration than the value before the oxidant deficiency treatment stored in the memory, the concentration of the methanol solution is controlled based on the open circuit voltage. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
