<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the reliability of an electric motor that is equipped with a magnetic sensor. <P>SOLUTION: A gear housing 30 for housing a worm gear mechanism 32 and a circuit board 34 is attached to a motor body 22. A housing cover 31, formed using magnetic material, is attached to an opening in the gear housing 30. A magnet 37 is fixed on the output shaft 17 of a worm wheel 32b, and an MR sensor 38 is mounted on the circuit board 34 so that it faces the magnet 37. An FET 36 is mounted on the circuit board 34, and the FET 36 is in contact with the housing cover 31 via the circuit board 34. Thus, magnetic noise is blocked by the housing cover 31 formed using the magnetic material, and the MR sensor 38 can be thereby protected against magnetic noise. Furthermore, by releasing the heat from the FET 36 through the housing cover 31, the FET 36 can be thereby protected against heat. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
