PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent a plunger member arranged in a cylinder chamber from tilting, as well as to move the plunger member to a position corresponding to the frequency change of an input vibration at low resistance and smoothly. SOLUTION: In a vibration isolator, a relief part 140 in a recessed shape toward an outer peripheral side is formed in an axial intermediate part in a bearing hole 84 of the plunger member 78. In the relief part 140, the inside diameter is expanded for the bearing 142 formed in axial both ends of the bearing holes 84 respectively. The axial intermediate part in the inner peripheral surface of the bearing hole 84 is kept contactless with the outer peripheral surface of a guide rod 120. Thereby, only the inner peripheral surface of a pair of bearings 142 in the bearing hole 84 contacts with the outer peripheral surface of the guide rod 120, so that the contact area of the inner peripheral surface of the bearing hole 84 with the outer peripheral surface of the guide rod 120 is kept almost constant even when the axial dimension of the bearing hole 84 is extented, which can prevent the contact area from increasing.
