PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively absorb the vibration of a high frequency range than the vibration corresponding to a second limiting passage by operating a plunger member arranged in a cylinder chamber corresponding to the liquid pressure change in a main liquid chamber and switching a limiting passage communicating with a main liquid chamber and an auxiliary liquid chamber to one of the first and second limiting passages. SOLUTION: In a vibration isolator 10, a communication passage 130 and a membrane opening 138 communicating with a main liquid chamber 36 and an auxiliary liquid chamber 38 respectively are formed on the outer peripheral side of the cylinder chamber 60. A membrane part 146 is formed between the communication passage 130 and the membrane opening 138. Thereby, when a high-frequency vibration such as a muffle sound is input into the vibration isolator 10, the membrane 146 is synchronized with the input vibration to elastically deform so as to expand and contract the inner volume of the main liquid chamber 36, and restrict the increase in the liquid pressure in the main liquid chamber 36, which can effectively absorb the high-frequency vibration with the elastic deformation of a rubber elastomer 26 by suppressing the increase in a dynamic spring constant of the device (the rubber elastomer 26) owing to the increase in the liquid pressure in the main liquid chamber 36.
