PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a socket capable of connecting certainly a connection object device and a connection object substrate without remaining a stress and capable of absorbing position shifting in each direction of the terminal of the connection object device by housing a connection terminal consisting of a first terminal fixed to a housing and a second terminal connected by friction to the first terminal movably in a terminal housing recess formed in the housing. SOLUTION: This is a socket 10 having a housing provided with a terminal insertion hole 12 in which a projection terminal of a connection object device is inserted and a terminal housing chamber communicating with the terminal housing hole 12, and a connecting terminal arranged in the terminal housing chamber. The connecting terminal is provided with a first terminal fixed to the housing and a second terminal which is coupled to the first terminal and connected to the projection terminal, and the second terminal holds the first terminal by friction and is capable of displacement in a plurality of directions against the first terminal.
