PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily perform whole management by sharing file management object management. SOLUTION: A video object (VOB) including video information is recorded in a video file (VF), while new VOB permits the presence of a recordable unrecorded region. The VOB includes a video object unit (VOBU), an AV address is set in the VF, management data includes the head address information of the VOB indicated by the AV address, the VOBU including a boundary position of a range of partial erasing in the VOB is excluded. Information of the file system includes file entry (FE) in which the recording position of the VF is described, an allocation descriptor includes length information and position information of extent, and the AV address order is a description order of the AD in the FE.
