PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical encoder affected hardly by defective alignment of an emitter. SOLUTION: The present invention discloses the optical encoder having one or more out of some features disclosed by this patent specification and a drawing. The features of the optical encoder according to the present invention includes the symmetric-shaped (for example, circular-shaped) emitter, a baffle between the emitter and a detector, a sealant of two dome structure or one dome structure, the plurality of detectors, and a plurality (at least three) of data channels.
