PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vinyl-cis-polybutadiene rubber composition exhibiting excellent property as a raw material for a tread, a side wall and a bead of a tire of an automobile. SOLUTION: Provided is a process for the production of a vinyl-cis-polybutadiene composition containing a syndiotactic-1,2-polybutadiene polymer finely dispersed in a matrix of a polybutadiene rubber in a short fiber crystalline state and having a polyisoprene polymer added to the short fiber crystals of the syndiotactic-1,2-polybutadiene polymer by a graft reaction, characterized in that an organic peroxide is further added.
