PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an odorant for a fuel gas, which does not generate sulfur oxides even when burned and hence does not contaminate the environment, and when used in a liquefied petroleum gas, does not increase the residual concentration in a gas holder and can avoid the generation of an unusual-odor problem, and further, when used for another fuel gas or liquid fuel, can be greatly improve the diffusivity in the other fuel gas or liquid fuel. SOLUTION: The odorant for a fuel gas, used for odorizing a fuel gas or a liquid fuel, consists of at least one low-boiling-point compound selected from among 3,3,3-trifluoropropene, 2,3-dioxa-5-norbornene, methylamine, trimethylamine, butenine, methyl vinyl ether, dimethylamine, ethyl methyl ether, 1,3-butadine, ethylamine, 1-pentene, etc. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
