PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing high-strength ferrocoke without markedly increasing feedstock cost. SOLUTION: The method for producing the ferrocoke by dry distillation of a feedstock mixture of coal and iron ore is provided. This method is characterized by involving mixing the feedstocks in such a way that iron ore granules 0.125-3 mm in size in the total iron ore account for 16 mass% or greater of the coal and the total amount of SiO<SB>2</SB>and Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>components in the iron ore account for 2 mass% or greater of the coal.
