PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner easily and surely beating off dust stuck to a dust collecting filter. SOLUTION: A filter frame 29 pulled against the energization of a coil spring 33 with an electric blower actuated is returned to a prescribed position with the electric blower stopped and beats a bag body 22 of the dust collecting filter 8. The actuation and the stop of the actuation of the electric blower can easily and surely beat off the dust caught by the dust collecting filter 8 and stuck to the dust collecting filter 8 by the filter frame 29.
