PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly safe intubation assistance device permitting easy and secure intubation by a simple operation, and an intubation assistance apparatus equipped with the intubation assistance device. SOLUTION: The intubation assistance apparatus 1 comprises an apparatus body 2, and an intubation assistance device 3 detachably attached to the apparatus body 2. The intubation assistance device 3 has a long insertion part 4 to be inserted into the trachea or the peripheral region of a patient from the mouth of the patient. A groove 43 for guiding an intubation tube 200 into the trachea of the patient and a scope guide hole 44 in which a scope 5 with a CCD and a white LED is stored are formed in the insertion part 4 of the intubation assistance instrument 3. In addition, a sheet-like tongue piece 42 with translucency, projecting toward the distal end, is disposed in the distal end 41 of the insertion part 4.
