PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of creating a color profile capable of attaining highly accurate color matching even in a high saturation region for the creation of the color profile for a flat bed scanner. SOLUTION: The color profile is created by using two kinds of scan charts used for creating the color profile; the one is made of a medium the gloss of the surface of which is less and the color reproduction range of which is not so wide, and the other is made of a medium the gloss of the surface of which is much and the color reproduction range of which is wide.
