PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless LAN access point connection switching method for switching the connection of an access point when an actual communication state is monitored and a communication unstable state is detected. SOLUTION: A mobile terminal 10 transmits ping data 103 to a host device 30 at a prescribed interval, verifies whether or not the mobile terminal 10 stays inside a proper communication area depending on a result of the response, the mobile terminal 10 scans access points when the mobile terminal 10 does not stay inside the proper communication area, and reconnects to a wireless LAN access point in the area of which the communication stability can be ensured.
