PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head drum device which can easily connect the terminals to the substrate side terminals of the rotating drum leaving enough margins for the layout of parts on the rotating drum substrate even if the increase of the number of the terminals makes their areas smaller on the head base substrate. SOLUTION: This head drum device has a rotating drum board arranged along the plane orthogonal to the rotating axis of the drum having a drum face which forms a cylindrical surface, and a magnetic head sliding and contacting with the magnetic tape running on the drum surface of the above rotating drum to record or read signals on the magnetic tape. Two flexible boards 50<SB>U</SB>, 50<SB>B</SB>which are arranged with connecting ends misaligned one another on the side face 58as of the metal base 58 on which a plurality of magnetic head connection terminals electrically connected to the signal terminals of the magnetic head are overlaid and stuck, and connected to the rotating drum board by the rotating drum board connecting connector sections 53<SB>U</SB>, 53<SB>B</SB>.
