PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging lens showing high imaging performance in spite of its more compact configuration. SOLUTION: The imaging lens includes: in order from an object side of the imaging lens, a first lens G1 having a convex surface on the object side and having a positive power; a second lens G2 having a concave surface on the object side and having a negative power and a meniscus shape; a third lens G3 having a positive power; and a fourth lens G4 having a convex surface on the object side near a paraxial axis and having a meniscus shape. The imaging lens satisfies conditional expressions (1) to (5). This ensures the high imaging performance and compact configuration. Conditional expression (1) defines the power of the first lens. Conditional expressions (2) and (3) define the dispersion of the lenses. Conditional expression (4) defines the power of the second lens.
