PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the influence of unevenness by adjusting an interval between an external wall of a building and a decorative plate optionally and arrange the decorative plate at vertical attitude. SOLUTION: The unevenness adjusting structure eliminates the influence of unevenness by providing an unevenness adjusting member 1 in furring strips 2 when installing the decorative plate 10 on the external wall 3 of the existing building through the furring strips 2. The furring strips 2 have sufficient length for installing the decorative plate 10, the unevenness adjusting member 1 is provided with a female screw 6, a male screw 11 screw-fitting in the female screw 6 is provided, a condition in which a tip of the male screw 11 can press the external wall 3 of the building, is kept, and the furring strips 2 are separated from the external wall 3 of the building or made close to the external wall 3 by increasing or decreasing an amount of screwing-in of the male screw 11.
