PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fine coated paper for printing, having excellent thick feeling and printing operability such as an uncoated paper while being a coated paper at a low production cost. SOLUTION: The fine coated paper for the printing, having 35-50 g/m<SP>2</SP>basis weight is obtained by formulating raw material pulps so that the pulp freeness based on JIS P 8121 may be 250-500 ml CSF, and the average fiber length measured by a Kajani fiber length-measuring device may be 1.0-1.5 mm when the paper is disaggregated based on JIS P 8220, and subjecting the pulp to papermaking.
