PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a superior-performance woody fiberboard to which antiseptic/antifungal efficacies can be added. SOLUTION: A neo-nicotinoid compound is mixed with a adhesive, and the resulting mixture is mixed with woody fibers under stirring. The obtained mixture is molded and hot-pressed to obtain the target woody fiberboard. The mixing ratio of the woody fibers, the neo-nicotinoid compound and the adhesive is preferably set so that 3-30 pts.wt. of the adhesive containing 0.3-0.5 pts.wt. of the neo-nicotinoid compound is used with respect to 100 pts.wt. of the woody fibers. It is preferable to mix an existing antiseptic and/or an antifungal agent to impart antiseptic and antifungal capacities. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
