PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine capable of quickly determining whether mixing ratio of mixed fuel stored in a fuel tank is homogeneous or not. SOLUTION: The engine provided with the fuel tank 1A storing mixed fuel mixing a plurality of fuels such as alcohol mixed gasoline mixing gasoline GA and alcohol AL is constructed. In this engine, a plurality of alcohol concentration sensors 10, 11 detecting alcohol concentration in the mixed fuel to detect mixing ratio of the mixed fuel are provided in the fuel tank at different height.
