PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning method of soil which is easy to separate soil and a cleaning material and is excellent in cleaning effect, and to provide a cleaning device. SOLUTION: The cleaning method of soil comprises the steps of immersing a soil granule prepared by granulating contaminated soil into cleaning material slurry, separating the soil granule from the cleaning material slurry after incorporating the contaminated substance in the soil into the soil cleaning material and recovering the cleaned soil granules. Preferably slurry containing a mixture of green rust and ferrite and/or slurry containing hydrotalcite is used as the cleaning material slurry. Also, cement or anhydrous gypsum is added to granulate as the pelletizing agent.
