PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter for a vacuum cleaner which prevents a member to be beaten from being peeled off from the apex portion of the wall of a wave shape filter. SOLUTION: The member (a pleat frame 105) to be beaten of a resin with a predetermined width are fixed to the apex portion (a ridge line portion 104A) of the pleat Pa of the wave shape filter body (a pleat filter 104). Further, a cut out 104b1 opening in inner and outer faces is formed in the mid in a longitudinal direction of the apex portion (the ridge line portion 104A) of the pleat Pa, and the member to be beaten (the pleat frame 105) has a cover portion 105a, 105b covering at least the outer face around the cut out 104b1 and the cut out of the pleat Pa and a coming off preventing portion (a reinforcing frame 108) covering the inner face around the cut off of the pleat.
