PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a condition detector for man, which detecs the condition of man with high accuracy without any load applied to the man. SOLUTION: This condition detector 1 for man includes: a first stimulating means 10 for stimulating a subject to obtain reference information; a second stimulating means 10 for stimulating the subject to obtain condition information; a stimulus reaction detecting means 20 for detecting the reaction of the subject to the stimulus given by the first stimulating means 10 and to the stimulus given by the second stimulating means 10 by an ecological index of the subject; and a condition determination means 41 for determining the condition of the subject on the basis of a comparison between the reaction of the subject to the stimulus given by the first stimulating means 10 and the reaction of the subject to the stimulus given by the second stimulating means 10.
