PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner which can secure a sufficient airtightness when suction negative pressure actions and prevent the leakage of a microdust without impairing the movement of a filter member. SOLUTION: A micro dust seal portion (a first annular seal portion) 91 airtightly abutting on an abutting step portion (a peripheral face) 120 of a pleat filter body (the filter member) 100 when the suction negative pressure actions and an air seal portion (a second annular seal portion) 92 located in the downstream side of the microdust seal portion 91 airtightly abutting on an abutting rib (a peripheral face) 125 of the pleat filter body 100 when the suction negative pressure actions in the peripheral face of a filter chamber 181 and a napped seal portion 122 with a napped shape located between the microdust seal portion 91 and the air seal portion 92 and abutting on the peripheral face of the filter chamber 181 are arranged in the peripheral face of the pleat filter body 100.
