PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dishwasher for achieving highly efficient heating and considerable reduction of operation time by using a heat pump device, and to solve problems of conventional dishwashers using heaters to heat water and requiring large energy to raise water temperature. SOLUTION: The dishwasher has a heating means for heating washing water. The heat pump device is provided so that refrigerant sequentially circulates through a compressor 5, a condenser 6, an expansion mechanism 7 and an evaporator 8. The condenser 6 works as the heating means so as to achieve highly efficient heating and to supply a large quantity of heat.
