<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording layer for an optical information recording medium, which is superior in initial reflectance and recording characteristics such as formability of a recording mark, which has a high C/N ratio (more specifically, a low noise), and which can be sufficiently applied to a next-generation optical disk employing a blue-violet laser. <P>SOLUTION: In the recording layer, the recording mark is formed by laser light irradiation.
