PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera in which present date information can be set in a clocking microcomputer 10. SOLUTION: The digital camera comprises an LCD 9, an input unit 10, a clocking microcomputer 5 for clocking present date and an ASIC 3. The ASIC 3 comprises an SDRAM 32 storing basic information including at least year information in the date information, reads out the basic information included in up-to-date date information from a recording medium depending on user operation, stores the basic information in the SDRAM 32 and displays it on an LCD 9. Furthermore, the ASIC 3 alters the basic information stored in the SDRAM 32 and alters the basic information displayed on the LCD 9 depending on information alteration operation for the input unit 10, reads out the basic information from the SDRAM 32 depending on information setting operation for the input unit 10, and sets data information including the basic information in the clocking microcomputer 5.
