PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the collision noise of a key switch being caused when its key top returns (to an original position). SOLUTION: A stopper 37 formed in the key top 25 of this key switch is so structured as to have a spring function and restrict a returning position of the key top 25 by making the stopper 37 abut on the backside surface of a panel 29 when the key top 25 returns after pushing operation. The stopper 37 is made to bend by the energy of restoring force for energizing the stopper toward the key top 25, and then absorbs collision energy caused between the stopper 37 and the backside surface of the panel 29 when the key top 25 returns.
