PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a worker from performing unlocking operation of a locking arm in the fitting process of both connector housings. SOLUTION: In making a locking arm 15 sag to the unlocking direction, a shift to a release position is carried out by shifting a release control 24 (release means) which is placed in a standby position to the backward relatively to a primary connector housing 10. A shifting direction of the release control 24 for unlocking is reverse to a fitting direction of the primary connector housing 10 to a secondary connector housing 30, that is the forward direction, and thus there is no possibility that the release control 24 may be accidentally moved to the release position side during the fitting operation.
