PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire position detection device which determines accurately front/back position information of a tire. SOLUTION: The device is equipped with: each sensor unit 2 (2a-2d) installed on each tire 3 (3a-3d) of a vehicle, for detecting vibration and transmitting by radio each detection result; a reception part 12 installed on the vehicle, for receiving a signal transmitted by radio from each sensor unit 2; and a control part 11 for determining whether a tire 3 on which the sensor unit 2 is installed is a front wheel or a rear wheel from a time when vibration of each tire detected by a vibration sensor 27 is generated.
