PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an output control device for an engine capable of effectively inhibiting under shoot, hunting of engine rotation speed and the like. SOLUTION: The output control device for the engine 1 controlling throttle opening of a throttle valve 3 is provided with a PTO operation time lower limit throttle opening calculation means 14 calculating PTO operation time lower limit throttle opening vtvoptomin based on a map established beforehand based on accelerator opening for work vspsptoper and engine rotation speed vnn, a lower limit value process determination means 16 determining lower limit value process time during which base PTO operation time throttle opening vtvopto_base(A) gets lower than lower limit value process determination opening vtvoptomin_judg(B), and a lower limit value process means 19 changing over PTO operation time throttle opening vtvopto from base PTO operation time throttle opening vtvopto_base(A) to PTO operation time lower limit throttle opening vtvoptomin at a time of lower limit value process.
