PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain deformation of cylinder bores caused by fastening of a head bolt in a divided type cylinder block. SOLUTION: This cylinder block 12 has a cylinder liner 15 arranged with the cylinder bores 16 and 17 and a cylinder block body 14 having an outside wall 19 surrounding the cylinder liner 15 and arranging a plurality of bolt fastening parts 31 and 32 in the arrangement direction X on the outside wall 19. An upper deck part 18 is fastened to a cylinder head and the outside wall 19 by the head bolt threadedly engaged with the respective bolt fastening parts 31 and 32. The bolt fastening part 31 positioned in both end parts in the arrangement direction X includes a first swelling part 31A swelling in the direction orthogonal to the arrangement direction X from an outside surface 22A of the outside wall 19. The bolt fastening part 32 positioned in an intermediate part in the arrangement direction X includes a second swelling part 32A swelling in the same direction as the first swelling part 31A from the outside surface 22A and having the volume larger than the first swelling part 31A.
