PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for keeping protuberance of epithelium, easily performable of injecting a solution through a fine catheter and capable of keeping the protuberance of the epithelium high. SOLUTION: The composition for keeping protuberance of epithelium comprises a solution comprising hyaluronic acid or a medically acceptable salt thereof, wherein (1) the solution has an apparent viscosity within a predetermined range when measured under predetermined conditions, (2) the force required for discharging the solution from the tip of a catheter injection needle by pressing the piston of the injector is within a predetermined range which injector is filled with the solution and holds the predetermined catheter injection needle, and (3), when administering the solution at a predetermined position of a rabbit stomach by a predetermined method, leaving 30 min, then quickly freezing the position and vertically cutting from the protuberance top, mucosal protuberance of the section is larger than the predetermined value.
