PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxymethylene copolymer being excellent in the color tone, giving few mold deposits, exhibiting an amount of formaldehyde generated upon molding and during actual use being remarkably reduced, while satisfying problems in view of the quality. SOLUTION: The oxymethylene copolymer contains an oxymethylene unit and another oxyalkylene unit, and produced by polymerizing a mixture of trioxane and a cyclic ether under the presence of a polymerization catalyst, wherein the polymerization catalyst is deactivated after the completion of the polymerization, (A) 100 pts.wt. of a crude polymer of the oxymethylene polymer with the addition of (B) 0.001 to 5 pts.wt. of a metal salt of a carboxylic acid is heated at a temperature range from 100 to 260°C for stabilization, and then (C) 0.001 to 5 pts.wt. of a hydrazide compound is added, and the mixture is heated at a temperature range from 100 to 260°C.
