REFLECTION MEMBER HAVING HEAT RESISTANCE AND ILLUMINATOR PROVIDED THEREWITH

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflection member which has heat resistance and can suppress degradation by ultraviolet rays and chemical degradation by sulfurous acid gas and bromine-based gas from a base material and atmospheric air in a usage condition near 260°C and further to provide an illuminator provided therewith.

SOLUTION: A metal layer 6 is formed on a surface of the base material 4 and an inorganic protective layer 7 is formed on a surface of the metallic layer 6 to constitute the reflecting member 1 having the heat resistance. The metal layer 6 is made of silver or a silver alloy and the protective layer 7 is made of at least one kind of inorganic substances between silicon nitride and silicon dioxide.
