<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solenoid actuator which provides a comparatively high thrust and responsivity and detects a position at a high accuracy, with a simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: The solenoid actuator has: a pair of coils 10A, 10B series-connected electrically to each other; and a core body 20 which has a pair of magnets 30A, 30B respectively inserted into the pair of coils 10A, 10B, and a retaining member 40 which retains in common the pair of magnets 30A, 30B. The pair of magnets 30A, 30B receive a magnetic force in the same direction by the pair of coils 10A, 10B, respectively, and move to the coils 10A, 10B.
