PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor storage system capable of reducing time required for reading/writing from/to a plurality of semiconductor storage elements and enhancing the efficiency of such reading/writing. SOLUTION: The semiconductor storage system is provided with: a semiconductor storage element which has chip selection signal input, output enable signal input, write enable signal input, address input and data input/output and performs high speed reading/writing of data by an interface via a bus connected to the address input and data input/output; a semiconductor storage element which has the chip selection signal input, output enable signal input, the write enable signal input, the address input and the data input/output and transmits a command from the data input/output to read/write the data and a controller which controls reading/writing operations of each semiconductor storage element. When a predetermined mode is set to the controller, the controller is passed, allowing direct access to each semiconductor storage element. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
